Aviemore coffee shop refresh

Overview

Aviemore Coffee Shop wanted to give their branding a fresh twist for the summer. The goal was to promote their summer drinks range through a set of five posters, alongside new coffee loyalty cards and coffee cup holders — all tied together in a refreshing consistent visual style, which felt warm and welcoming, whilst keeping their brand colours and fonts.

Process

Working within their existing brand guidelines, I explored ways to reinterpret their visual identity so it felt vibrant and summery while still recognisably their colours and fonts. I kept their signature brand green as the anchor colour, and introduced a warm cream tone to soften the palette and evoke a relaxed, summery mood. The visual style was applied across all formats — from large posters to small, tactile items like cup holders — ensuring everything felt cohesive.

Challenges
  1. Balancing Consistency and Creativity:
The refresh needed to stay true to their established branding while still feeling fresh and seasonal.

  2. Working Across Multiple Formats:
Designs had to adapt seamlessly from glossy posters to textured cardboard cup holders without losing impact.

  3. Maximising In-House Photography:
All imagery was taken by café staff, so careful editing, colour correction, and composition adjustments were needed to make it look polished and on-brand.

Results

The summer campaign materials gave Aviemore Coffee Shop a warm, inviting presence. The posters drew attention to the new drinks range, while the loyalty cards and coffee holders became subtle, everyday brand reminders to reinforce the identity in a way that felt both fresh and familiar.
